Jenny + Robby, Countryside Engagement Photos

First of all, a shout out to the new brides-to-be who stopped by my booth last weekend at the Woodlands Bridal Show! Here’s a little treat for ya’ll. Jenny and Robby are a very excited couple getting married next year. They had requested a country-themed engagement and this spot north of The Woodlands proved to be perfect. Jenny grew up in Australia and mentioned that the outhouse at our session location reminded her of her childhood. We had a darn good laugh as Jenny was describing to Robby the workings of such a commodity (pun intended!) The session overall was fun for the now city-dwellers as it was a sweet escape to spend time together. And boy were they all over each other for the camera! They also brought their friend Lady who was eager to pose, too!

I love fun and easy going couples like them. I love their homophonic names, too! Congrats, guys. And I look forward to your awesome wedding come 2014!

Cassie + Kevin, Amber Springs Wedding in Magnolia

Can I say gorge? Haha, I promised myself to never use a girly word like that especially from a guy like me. But, for this latest one from Cassie and Kevin’s, there really isn’t any other way to describe it. Cassie put a lot of work into finding details to go into her wedding. She says Pinterest helped her a lot and that one thing tied everything together – burlap. What you have is a really nice, rustic, very organic themed wedding. And especially since she went with a wonderful venue called Amber Springs in Magnolia, her wedding couldn’t be more perfect. Congrats guys, I know I’ve said it many times but you deserve it! To Cassie and Kevin… and to everyone else who shared this day with them, enjoy…

Melanie + Matt, The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center

Here’s one from December. I believe I photographed a few Christmas weddings so you’ll see Christmas trees in the background! Melanie and Matt were married in the sleepy town of Willis just north of Conroe. As cute as the church may be, their bridal room is very nice! Melanie looked gorgeous in her bridal shots by the windows. The surprise of the day was how Matt got very emotional upon seeing his bride. Melanie thought it was funny so she couldn’t help but laugh as she walked down the aisle. After the ceremony we headed to The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center for their reception. The family celebrated with lots – and lots of dancing! Being from Houston, I tried to take pictures of Matt’s groom’s cake but just couldn’t get it to look right. Just kidding! haha. Congrats Melanie and Matt!

Lauren + Clark, Carnival Engagement Session

Merry Christmas everybody! I spent some quality time with family and I hope everyone did, too. Now that I’m back to posting amazing photos, here’s the latest one from Lauren and Clark. These guys are actually good friends of Brittany whose wedding I photographed last October. I was going through Brittany’s wedding photos and realized they were in the crowd, too! So, technically this engagement session was the second time I took photos of the pair!

Lauren knew exactly what she wanted for her engagement photos. She wanted something fun, engaging, and colorful. Immediately, I suggested a traveling carnival – with their old raggedy rides, and the usually interesting group of ride operators. I thought it would add a lot of character into the session giving it that fun, homey, state fair kind of atmosphere. But, where do we find one?!

After a couple of Facebook announcements and with the help of some wonderful people who follow my photography, I found one nearby. Lauren and Clark met me out there close to dusk, and we shot one of the most exciting engagement sessions I’ve ever done!
