Here’s a great wedding all the way from the Great Lakes State. Stephanie and Jarrett, both natives of the Michigan, met in college where they eventually decided to move to Chicago. Soon after, Jarrett proposed to Stephanie during a vacation in Guatemala. They both wanted to get married back home where they met.
The wedding ceremony was held at a church in Manchester, a small town south of Stephanie’s hometown, Chelsea. It is a nice historic church nestled in the middle of an old German town. After the ceremony, we took some photos outside the minister’s lovely house next to the church. We then drove back to Chelsea where the reception was being held. The big tent was situated in Stephanie’s enormous front yard. Being from Houston, I haven’t seen a more beautifully manicured piece of land fenced by perfectly aligned pine trees! I was impressed by their laid-back but very elegant front yard reception.
After the introductions, first dance, cake and bouquet rituals, everyone got on the dance floor. And boy do these guys know how to have fun. The festivities went on into the evening when the DJ finally shut it down. About 10 minutes later, I heard the microphone make that feedback noise and thumping “mic test” sound. Kevin, (the most awesome DJ I ever worked it) announced “Ladies and gentlemen, the afterparty has started.” And the music just kept going! Wow, I left with the newlyweds and their close friends still on the dance floor. Shooting for 16 hours straight, I was exhausted. But, I had a smile on my face. Stephanie and Jarrett just had their most memorable day, and I was gonna be the first to see all the awesome pictures.
Stephanie, Jarrett, my big congrats to both of you and I wish you all the best! ~Angel
