Thank you for considering me on your big day. I may take my job seriously, but I never take myself seriously. I’m a major goofball and a hopeless romantic. I'm the kinda guy who loves flying planes but cries watching The Notebook (but that was just once.)
Perhaps that’s why I find the responsibility of photographing weddings so gratifying.
Creating great images while preserving the essence of the couple’s love for each other.
Such is the cornerstone of my shooting style; the core of my passion. And I would be
honored to serve the same for your memories.
Thank you for visiting my website. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do.
Hi everyone, it’s been almost a year since I updated my blog because I have been very busy! I’ve been shooting like crazy in the last month including an out of country wedding!
Here’s a quick sneak peek into Lauren and Alex’s destination wedding in Cozumel, Mexico!!! Enjoy!
Hey! Another beautiful engagement for another beautiful couple! Brooke and Russell met in high school so it was important to have some of their engagement photos done there. As their story goes, Russell sat in class behind her seat for an entire semester until he finally had the courage to speak to her. But, what followed was a relationship that blossomed until the day Brooke was getting ready to leave for work. She noticed something new (and sparkly) in her jewelry box. Barely able to get a word out, she turns around and sees her high school sweetheart… down on one knee. Simple, sweet, sincere. So, there was only one answer.
Hearing all this, I couldn’t be more excited to work with them! They’re such a sweet and easy going couple. And soon, we got to talking about pictures.
As a photographer and a pilot, I’ve always obsessed about shooting an engagement session at an airport. And how lucky am I that I was given the opportunity to shoot two aviation-themed engagements that are also completely unique from each other? Brooke and I sat down for our initial consult and towards the end we started brainstorming about their e-session. Russell, being in the aviation industry, had access to corporate jets. So we started throwing words around, “business jet, luxury travel, sophistication…” and boom, boom, boom. I kid you not, these awesome images started flashing in my head!
We made it happen! Brooke and Russell were sooo good in front of the camera! They were up for anything and everything; and most of the time we were laughing and cracking jokes. And after a long and exciting shoot… here you go: a very classy, sophisticated, bold, and sexy engagement session. Enjoy!
^^^ BOOOM… (Because, I rarely caption a photo.) ^^^
One of my most awesome engagement sessions yet! Imagine a young pilot going out fight the war, and coming back to find her lady and ask her hand in marriage. Sounds like a romantic 50′s novel? It’s not far from the truth. Emi and Ben met at the Air Force Academy almost ten years ago. For a while, life caused them to go on their separate ways. Emi pursued her studies, and Ben went on to become a USAF pilot. Later, they reconnected. Now how isn’t that romantic?!
When Emi and I were conceptualizing the shoot I was gleaming with excitement. Being a civilian pilot myself, I’m all about planes. And when Emi said her dad (who also flies!) found a friend who owned a war-era plane, I dropped to the floor! This restored Boeing Stearman was immaculate. And Ben was awestruck being able to touch an ancestor of a plane he currently flies – a Boeing C17 Globemaster.
Now for the couple, Ben didn’t have to try hard to look like a strapping flyboy from WWI – he just had to put on his standard issue USAF uniform, courtesy of the US Department of Defense. And Emi looked perfect in her classic polka dot dress and bright red lipstick. Her hair was spot on! We went on to shoot what turned out to be such a fun engagement session! Now enjoy and swoon over this pin-up style, aviation-themed shoot! Love it!
Also, let me take a second to thank Capt. Benjamin Hollett (USAF) for serving this great country of ours. Your courage, dedication, and patriotism is appreciated.
I’m excited to show you Brittany and Ryan’s wedding! These two met in school and have been stuck together since. And on their special day, they were surrounded by family and friends who all went to A&M. With gig’em thumbs everywhere, laughter, pats on the back, and generations of Aggies celebrating with the Aggie fight song, you would have thought you were at Kyle Field. I’ve never been squished so hard in the middle of the dance floor! What a fun night. Congrats guys! Whoop!
